What better place to enjoy Earthdance, than at the historic Lupin Lodge! Lupin is a naturist resort, where all people are free to discard their clothes, bond with the earth and to come together in community as nature intended. Established in 1935, Lupin is one of the oldest businesses in Los Gatos. Originally born from the European Naturalist movement, this place has been an epicenter of alternative approaches to living for over 80 years. Lupin lies at the center of a creative energy vortex – at the intersection of two faults – the Loma Prieta and San Andreas. Some imagine those faults entwined like lovers surrounded by great green and orange force lines of energy emanating from the center of Gaia. Some visitors feel the peace and stillness of the forest, others hear the bubbling of brooks, or the splashing of the pool – some are called to dance to the music and others called to create it. This weekends workshops, classes and lectures are all focused on the healing powers of touch, dance, and sound. Geared towards South Bay ecstatic dance enthusiasts, this event is intended to bring dancers together to share their stories about how dance has transformed their life, but most importantly, to share in the vulnerability, joy, and cathartic emotional release dance provides. There are several 101 workshops forming for those new or returning to dance and a wonderful contact improve class provided by Karin Moriarty. The main dancing will be up by the pool with healing tonal sounds provided acclaimed San Francisco DJ Alia, bathing us in her feminine medicine soundscape. The waterfall lawn area will be designated a Kids Zone full of activities for little ones and the upper lawn will features a Glow Village for teen centered movement practices. There will be several organized cuddle parties for adults. Lupin is a clothing optional venue and to protect the intention of this community, the pool, hot tub, sauna area is nude only and will be open 24/7.
Lupin’s yurt road will be the temporary home for a variety of healing arts practitioners and several vendors will be selling jewelry, clothing, and offering services like body painting and hair braiding. Camping spots are available both down below and high up the mountain with limited RV hook ups.
**Come to dance, come to camp, come to celebrate the earth and generate some synchronicity as we move towards the Singularity. 50% of the profit from this event will be donated to the Santa Cruz based dance collective, The 418 project.
