Social Nudity during Social Distancing

“If you’re feeling alone, know that we are all in this together. Call friends and family, video chat when you can and try to get some fresh air. Nature can be healing and what better way to enjoy it than naturally?”

We are social creatures.  Most of us crave connection, community and the feeling of belonging.  Social nudity has long provided us the opportunity to literally strip away the things that do not define us, allowing us to be in relationship with others as our true selves.

Counties across the county are enacting a Shelter at Home order to slow the spread of Coronavirus.   Social distancing, increasing the physical space between individuals to avoid spreading illness, is an important measure but leaving many nudists feeling isolated.

While we wait for it to be safe for us to enjoy activities together once again, now could be a good time to connect with ourselves in nature.  Fresh air and natural sunlight have been shown to be natural disinfectants.  Vitamin D, which is vital for healthy immune function, can also be synthesized in the skin when the sunlight is strong enough.

If you’re feeling alone, know that we are all in this together. Call friends and family, video chat when you can and try to get some fresh air. Nature can be healing and what better way to enjoy it than naturally?
