Hello!
We’re glad you’re thinking of visiting Lupin Lodge Nudist Resort.
The activities here include swimming, hot-tubbing, hiking, and picnicking all year round in the beautiful Mediterranean climate of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We also offer plenty of parties, workshops, and activities you can read about on our event calendar. All areas of the property are clothing-optional, except the pool, hot tub, and sauna, in which nudity is required.
The most important thing to know before visiting: we have a longstanding ethos of body positivity in a down-to-earth, family-friendly atmosphere.
We’re open to all, but we do enforce behavior standards! Review our Lupin Behavior and Sexual Harassment policies for more detail.

All visitors are registered in our completely confidential database (register in office or register from home) and checked by our staff in the national Sex Offenders database.
Anyone who acts in a manner that makes other guests uncomfortable, e.g. sexual harassment, public intoxication, gawking, or eyeballing, will be removed from the property.

Safety Policies
As mentioned above, Lupin takes the safety of our guests seriously.
- Take a look at our Lupin Behavior and Sexual Harassment policies.
- Fill out our registration form before arriving or we can help you handle it in the office.
- Remember your official ID so we can background check you on arrival.
- Take a picture of your license plate (if registering in-office) because we ask for that and nobody knows it.
- Photography is discouraged on property. You may not photograph or record any person without their explicit consent, and that consent can be revoked at any time. Stickers are provided to cover your phone camera in mandatory-nude areas.
- We encourage you to contact the office via call or text if you are made uncomfortable at any time at Lupin; our staff will come to help you out.
Driving Directions
- If your GPS tells you to turn directly into traffic on Highway 17: it is lying to you. Instead, we recommend following our driving directions.
- There is no sign at the driveway entrance except the address, 20600.
- We have a single-lane paved driveway between the street and the resort. We’ve had plenty of huge RVs do just fine, but please drive carefully. On steep slopes, uphill traffic has the right-of-way.
- Park in the parking area outside the office when checking in. Please don’t block the gate!
- The office will lift the gate for you when you enter, and the gate will open automatically when you leave.
Note: Rideshare apps are OK for travel to Lupin. We have great wifi and cell service here, so you’ll be able to get back out easily too.
Food and Drink
Lupin has a grab-and-go honor bar open on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a restaurant that serves dinner on Saturdays. We also have a community kitchen open around the clock where you may store and cook food.
If you would like to leave the premises for a hot dinner, the closest option is Pizzeria Vittoria.
You may BYOB as long as you abide by posted rules (no hard liquor, no glass in pool area, no disorderly public intoxication).
I’m scared to be nude!
Some things we tell visitors all the time:
- Nudity is mandated only by the pool and sauna. The rest of the property is clothing-optional.
- To ease in gently, try our hiking trails. They’re usually not too busy.
- Nobody will judge you. In fact, everyone here thinks it’s perfectly natural.
- There’s no special etiquette (besides being a kind and polite human being).
- You’re brave for trying something new.
- If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, inform the office—we want to help.
If you still have questions, contact us at the Lupin office at 408-353-9200 via call or text or through our contact form.
