Executive Chef and Director of Dining Services Michelle Martinez shares her love of nourishing food inspired by flavors from the Lupin garden. As a graduate rom the famed Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy, and is an experienced culinary educator with skills leading large teams in catering and high end hospitality.

A Little Lupin History

When the ’89 earthquake destroyed the restaurant and many other Lupin buildings, “Chez Yurt” was put up as a community kitchen and restaurant. The new clubhouse and restaurant building was completed in 1994. The manager and co-owner of Lupin at the time, Laura Boswell named the restaurant “Chez la Ronde” which translates to “by or at the round” in French.
